ABOUT ME AND ABOUT MONSTER IN THE CLOSET
I am Sarah May and the official "Chief Monster." Here's a little bit about me and monster in the closet.
I received my undergrad degree at Ohio Wesleyan University with a major in Spanish and minors in Art History and Humanities. My teaching certification schooling was completed at Central Connecticut State University. I have a Masters degree from CCSU in Art Education with a focus on Printmaking.
monster in the closet has evolved over the years from several ventures; stamping, card making, baby announcements, my paper obsession, various types of printmaking...and the list continues. But, in a way, monster in the closet kind of started by accident! I am always looking to CREATE, CREATE, CREATE; I'm always doing some kind of project. I love block printing, I love tee shirts (my wardrobe staple) and I love being crafty. So, I made a block print or two; I bought a shirt; I printed the images; I added some ribbon and boom! It worked!
I started giving them as gifts and received a positive response, so I decided to jump in with both feet! monster in the closet officially started February 1, 2007 and so here I am, venturing out with monster in the closet while I work my full time job as a public school art teacher.
Wear some monster art, spread some monster fun!
I'd love to hear some new image and/or product ideas! Drop me a note at monsterinthecloset@sbcglobal.net
And thanks for checking us out!
